Wednesday: You were good to me.

I spent the afternoon shopping and sipping champagne. I spent the evening dining with Dave overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park. Yes, Wednesday, you really put your best foot forward and I couldn't be more appreciative.

Like I said, my afternoon was spent with Meghan pounding the pavement in Soho in search of some good deals and 'necessary objects' (Inside joke. There's this store called 'Necessary Objects'. Super cheap. Frequently trashy. Always necessary). If I'm being completely honest, my shopping spanned Tuesday and Wednesday but I racked up on some pretty swell items. I was out of my perfume so I had to stop by Sephora. Ended up not only purchasing my perfume but walked out with a smashing new shade of lipstick for fall. I'm diggin' the bold lip as of late.

So, let me tell you, this roll-on portable fragrance saves my life. I keep it in my purse for any touch-ups I may need throughout the day: after a show, after being stuck underground in the subway (joy), after running around the city in the heat. You get the picture. And here's my new lipsmacker: Schiap by Nars. They have the most beautiful shades of semi-matte lipstick.

I mean, isn't this just lovely?

Once our feet started to ache, Meghan and I hightailed it over to the Crosby Street Hotel, where we sipped champagne and sampled the Pepper and Peach cocktail (peach puree, tequila, red chili, and lime juice). YUM. I mean, who wouldn't want to take a little break out here?

Then I headed uptown to meet Dave at A Voce.

It was our first time dining here and, I must say, it was delicious. We noshed on beef carpaccio, tuna and melon crudo, eggplant and ricotta ravioli, tomato mozzarella and arugula salad, followed by the lamb chops with lamb sausage and rapini and the enormous pork chop with mushrooms and grilled lemon. It was seriously good. And we were seriously stuffed by the end.
How do you not have a good time when this is the view from your table?

Ok, I should probably go work-out. Tonight's dinner plans: BBQ and Cherry Limeades with my sweetie.
Tomorrow: an afternoon spent with my dear friend, Jamie Grayson, and a deep fryer. I'm not even kidding.

Cheers!
